10th Anniversary Launch for EYR
Eastbourne Youth Radio will commence their 10th anniversary celebrations with a breakfast launch event for sponsors and community partners at Sussex Downs College on Friday 28th May.
Leading the guest list will be new Eastbourne MP, Stephen Lloyd and the Worshipful the Mayor, Cllr Carolyn Heaps.
The project recently received a Global Entrepreneurship Week - High Impact Badge of Honour for 2009 that was a fantastic accoldae for everyone involved. Looking ahead, EYR will broadcast again from 17th - 19th November. Hundreds of students agead 5-19 will deliver over 55 hours of programmes on 87.7FM and www.eyr.org.uk
Steven Goss-Turner, Chair of Eastbourne EBP writes, "The partnership between education and the business community is often characterised by good intentions on both sides but a lack of tangible outcomes. EYR is a striking example of a project which provides the medium for achieving mutually beneficial outcomes. This is recognised by its 'Badge of Honour' award but more significantly by the enthusiasm and learning generated by the collaboration of students, teachers and business leaders."
British Wireless for the Blind Fund and Weather Front Ltd are once again leading the sponsors this year. EYR is keen to engage more partners who will take an active role in the event. Sponsorship packages start from just £175.00.
